Funeral Music
The function of a funeral service is to acknowledge the death and lifetime achievements of a person and to bring grieving family and friends together in support of one another during this very difficult time. Music is an important part of saying goodbye to a loved one.
In addition to the music chosen by the family for a funeral service, we would normally sing and play the principle pieces of Liam Lawton's Glendalough Mass.
Instrumental music pieces
The haunting sound of a Low whistle or Psaltery or the unique harmonious sound of a double whistle will enrich the ceremonial atmosphere.
Ceremonial Music
Gerry is an accomplished multi - instrumentalist with a keen interest in Liturgical, Folk and Traditional music.
Gretta is a professional church and ceremony singer with several years of experience.
Both are based in Fingal, North County Dublin and have over 30 years experience performing together in church choirs and in ceremonial settings.
Whether accompanied by organ or guitar, the instrumental sound blends perfectly with Gretta's soprano voice.
Bespoke Musical Arrangements
Some families like to have both a mixture of instruments and vocals and instrumental music performed at the funeral of a loved one. They may decide on a particular or special piece which may have a meaningful significance for them. In accommodating such requests, we believe we can bring an extra musical dimension to provide an important and lasting memory for family and friends.
